Modern Nature

"Modern Nature" is the twelfth studio album from the British rock band The Charlatans. Released on 26 January 2015, the album marks the group's first release following the death of drummer Jon Brookes in 2013. Co-produced by The Charlatans and Jim Spencer, the album was recorded at Big Mushroom in Cheshire and features contributions from session drummer Pete Salisbury, formerly of The Verve, and New Order’s Stephen Morris.

"Modern Nature" features eleven tracks, including singles "Talking In Tones," "So Oh," and "Come Home Baby." The album blends diverse moods and styles, from the uplifting pop of "So Oh" to the driving, rhythmic "Emilie," and the soulful "Lean In.”

The album received favorable reviews from critics and was noted for its exploration of funky rhythms and soulful melodies. It achieved a Top 10 position in the UK Albums Chart and signified a resilient return from a band at a delicate point in their illustrious career.
