The tracks include "Welcome to the Machine" by Pink Floyd, "Bullet The Blue Sky" by U2, "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield, and "Innuendo" by Queen, among others. "Take Cover" also features a version of "Heaven on Their Minds" from the 1970 musical Jesus Christ Superstar, highlighting the band's propensity for theatricality.

The band members collectively decided on the final track list after the initial selection of about 40 songs. The selection process involved each band member listing the top three songs they would like to cover and the majority ruled.
