A single was released from the album on Blue Note, featuring edited versions of "L.A. Sunshine" and "Slowly We Walk Together." In the UK, the album was reissued by Island Records under the title "Platinum Funk," and also released as a single album with selected tracks: Side 1 featured "War is Coming War is Coming," "I Got You," and a shortened version of "L.A. Sunshine," while Side 2 included "River Niger," "Slowly We Walk Together," and "Platinum Jazz."
