Thunder and Lightning

"Thunder and Lightning" is the twelfth and final studio album by Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy. The album was released in March 1983. It is the band's final album to feature Phil Lynott, the group's lead vocalist, primary lyricist, and founding member.

"Thunder and Lightning" showcases a heavier side of Thin Lizzy, featuring a heavier and more aggressive sound in comparison to previous works. The album contains heavy rock tracks but also includes softer, more pop-oriented songs. Several tracks from the album have become live favorites, like "Cold Sweat" and the title track "Thunder and Lightning."

The album was produced by Chris Tsangarides, who had worked on several previous Thin Lizzy albums, along with Lynott and drummer Darren Wharton, who contributed to the band's sound.

"Thunder and Lightning" was a commercial success for Thin Lizzy, charting well in many countries and receiving widespread critical acclaim. Despite this success, Thin Lizzy decided to disband later the same year, with Lynott embarking on a solo career before his untimely death in 1986.
