Third Album

"Third Album" is the third studio album released by the American pop band, The Jackson 5. Released by Motown Records in September 1970, it became the group's third consecutive album to hit number one on the Billboard 200. The album sold over 6 million copies worldwide and introduced their biggest solo single at the time, "I'll Be There", which was the first single from the album.

The band, The Jackson 5, consisted of performing brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael Jackson. The "Third Album" followed their first two albums "Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5" and "ABC". The success of "I'll Be There" solidified the group's reputation as one of the year's biggest hits. The album also had other noteworthy tracks including "Mama's Pearl", "The Love I Saw in You Was Just a Mirage", and their cover of Smokey Robinson & the Miracles’ "The Love I Saw in You Was Just a Mirage".

In terms of production, the album continued with the formula of the previous two albums by having the brothers cover well-known hits in addition to the original songs, with the arrangements and production handled by The Corporation, a team of writers and producers founded by Motown's Berry Gordy.
