Rock Therapy

"Rock Therapy" is a studio album by the American rockabilly band Stray Cats. Released in 1986, it was the band's fifth studio album. The trio, consisting of Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker, and Slim Jim Phantom, originally formed in 1979 in New York, eventually gaining significant popularity both in the United States and internationally.

After an initial period of success, the band had briefly split and pursued individual ventures before returning to the studio to create "Rock Therapy." This album marked a reunion that allowed the Stray Cats to redeem their commercial fortunes in the United States.

The album features certain songs that became popular, including "Race with the Devil," "I Wanna Cry," and "Looking for Someone to Love." The band's signature blend of rockabilly--a genre blending 1950s-style rock and roll with rhythm and blues--is omnipresent across the album, signaling both a return to their roots and a revival of the genre within the mid-1980s music scene.

While it did not attain the commercial success of the group's previous albums in the early 1980s, "Rock Therapy" still holds an integral place in the Stray Cats' discography for marking the band's return and exhibiting their devotion to rockabilly music.
