Ricochet Days

"Ricochet Days" is the third studio album by the British alternative/new wave band, Modern English. Released in 1984 under the label 4AD in the United Kingdom and Sire Records in the United States, the album was produced by Hugh Jones, who is well known for his work with Echo & the Bunnymen and The Damned.

The album maintains the band's signature post-punk and new wave style, yet with more of a synth-pop slant compared to their previous work. The band gained fame through their 1982 hit "I Melt With You," and "Ricochet Days" was another step in their evolving sound, showcasing the English group's ability to blend moody, atmospheric textures with catchy pop melodies.
