Object 47

"Object 47" is the eleventh studio album by the English post-punk band Wire. Released on July 7, 2008, in the UK and July 15, 2008, in the US under their own Pinkflag label, the album's title reflects its position as the 47th item in Wire's discography. This naming convention pays homage to their 1979 album "154," which was named after the number of concerts they had performed up to that point.

"Object 47" is notable as the first Wire album not to feature guitarist Bruce Gilbert.
