This Is PiL

"This Is PiL" is the ninth studio album by British rock band Public Image Ltd, popularly known as PiL. Released on 28th May 2012, this album marked the band's first release of new music since 1992. The album is a mix of various musical styles, encapsulating elements of punk rock, noise, and alternative rock.

The band, led by singer John Lydon, funded the recording, production, and release of the album independently without any record company interference. After a successful concert tour in the United Kingdom, Public Image Ltd recorded the album at Steve Winwood's Cotswolds home studio, Wincraft, in 2011.

This 12-track album, featuring songs like 'One Drop' and 'Reggie Song,' was well-received and appreciated by critics and fans alike, praised for the band's continued embrace of experimental sounds. The album peaked at 35th position on the UK Albums Chart and hit number seven on the UK Independent Albums Chart.
