Love Is All Around

"Love Is All Around" is a studio album by Eric Burdon and War, originally credited as "War featuring Eric Burdon" upon its release in 1976 on ABC Records. This album comprises tracks recorded during the band's brief period from 1969 to 1971 that were not included on their two albums released in 1970. Many years later, the album was reissued on CD by Avenue Records, restoring the original group name, Eric Burdon and War.

Among the tracks on the album, only two had been previously released: "Magic Mountain," which served as the B-side to "Spill the Wine," and "Home Dream," originally appearing on the 1971 album "Guilty" by Eric Burdon and Jimmy Witherspoon.

The remaining tracks include the title track, "Love Is All Around," which had not been released previously in any form. "Tobacco Road" is presented here as an alternate and shorter version of the John D. Loudermilk song that appeared on Eric Burdon and War's debut album, "Eric Burdon Declares 'War'." "A Day in the Life" is a previously unreleased cover of The Beatles' song, and "Paint It Black" is a live version recorded at Whiskey, Los Angeles on September 8, 1969, differing from the studio version that appeared on their second album, "The Black-Man's Burdon."

In 1977, "Magic Mountain" and an edited version of "Home Dream" were released as a single.
