Tasty

"Tasty" is an album by the British rock group The Shadows, released in 1977 through Columbia (EMI). This album was their last to be produced by the group's lead guitarist, Hank Marvin. It continues the band's signature blend of rock’n’roll and pop and features mainly instrumental tracks, with the occasional vocal piece.

The album consists of 12 tracks, including "Cricket Bat Boogie," "Return to the Alamo," and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." It spans a variety of musical styles, with a substantial influence from country and western music. Despite not achieving the same success as their previous albums in the UK, it reached #37 on the Australian album charts.

The band members during the production of "Tasty" were Hank Marvin on guitar, Bruce Welch on rhythm guitar, Brian Bennett on drums, and John Farrar on bass. All members contributed to vocals on selected tracks.

While the album did not bring any major hit in the UK, it marks an important step in The Shadows' journey and is regarded as noteworthy in their discography. It continued their tradition of exploring and mastery over instrumental rock.
