Days Go By

"Days Go By" is the ninth studio album by the American rock band The Offspring, released on June 26, 2012, under Columbia Records. Produced by Bob Rock, this album marked several significant changes for the band. It was their first album to feature drummer Pete Parada, who joined a year before the release of their previous album "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace" (2008). Additionally, it was the last album to feature bassist Greg K. before he was dismissed from the band in 2018.

The album's production spanned three years and involved recording in six different studios across California, Hawaii, and Canada, concluding in March 2012. Originally planned for release in 2010, the album's debut was delayed multiple times due to ongoing touring commitments and the band's continuous songwriting process.

"Days Go By" includes a re-recording of the song "Dirty Magic" from The Offspring's 1992 album "Ignition," which serves as the ninth track on this album. The lead single and title track, "Days Go By," premiered on radio stations on April 27, 2012, followed by the release of "Cruising California (Bumpin' in My Trunk)" as the first single worldwide (excluding certain regions).

Upon its release, "Days Go By" debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 24,000 copies in North America. The album marked a continuation of The Offspring's energetic punk rock style while incorporating elements of their evolving musical influences.
