Hollies (1965 album)

"Hollies" (also known as "Hollies '65") is the third studio album by The Hollies, released on Parlophone Records. It achieved notable success, reaching number 8 on the UK album charts. Initially available only in mono, the album was later reissued in stereo under the title "Reflection" in 1969. In 1997, British EMI released both the mono and stereo versions together on a single CD.

The album features twelve tracks, with only "So Lonely" released as a single in the UK, albeit as the B-side to the hit "Look Through Any Window" from the same recording period. Among the tracks, five were originals credited under the pseudonym "L. Ransford," but were actually written by Allan Clarke, Tony Hicks, and Graham Nash. The remaining songs were cover versions. In Scandinavia, "Very Last Day" and "Too Many People" were released as singles, with "Very Last Day" becoming a major hit in Sweden.

Notably, the song "Put Yourself in My Place," penned by Clarke, Hicks, and Nash, was also recorded by Episode Six and served as their debut single in 1966.
