Bus Stop

"Bus Stop" is the fourth studio album by the British pop band the Hollies, originally released in October 1966 on Imperial Records in the U.S. and later on Capitol Records in Canada. The album showcases a blend of material ranging from the band's recent hit singles to tracks dating back to their early days on Parlophone Records in the UK.

Included on the album is the title track "Bus Stop," which had been a major hit for the Hollies earlier that year. The song "Oriental Sadness" was previously released in the U.S. on the album "Beat Group!" in 1966. In Canada, the album differed from its U.S. counterpart by excluding earlier recordings and instead combining tracks from the UK albums "Hollies" and "Would You Believe?," along with previously issued singles.

"Bus Stop" marked the final appearance of original bassist Eric Haydock, who departed from the band in early 1966 due to disputes with management. He was replaced by Bernie Calvert. The album represents a transitional period for the Hollies as they continued to refine their sound and consolidate their success in both the UK and the international music scene of the 1960s.
