The Best of Suede

"The Best of Suede" is a compilation album by the English rock band Suede, released in November 2010. It incorporates hit singles, album tracks, and popular B-sides from the band's five studio album career, ranging between the years of 1992 to 2002. The album included two discs; the first one mainly contained the band's hit singles, while the second was a collection of B-sides and album tracks.

Formed in London in 1989, Suede gained significant recognition in the UK in the 90s for their glam-influenced Britpop and are often considered part of the Britpop Big Four, along with Oasis, Blur, and Pulp. The band consisted of singer Brett Anderson, guitarist Richard Oakes, bass player Mat Osman, drummer Simon Gilbert and keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Neil Codling.

The release of "The Best of Suede" came about eight years after the release of the band's fifth studio album, "A New Morning", and three years after they had announced their split. It was a way for long-time fans to reconnect with the band's music and for those new to the band to get introduced to their sound and style. It's notable as well that Suede got back together for a series of concerts around the time the compilation was released, sparking a revival of interest in their music.
