All This Time

"...All This Time" is a live album and concert film by Sting, recorded on September 11, 2001, at his Villa Il Palagio in Tuscany, Italy. The performance featured an intimate audience of Sting's fan club members and included live renditions of songs from both his solo career and his time with The Police. The album's title comes from the song "All This Time" from Sting's album The Soul Cages.

Sting organized this concert to share music in a personal setting, but the tragic events of 9/11 dramatically altered the evening's atmosphere. As the news of the attacks unfolded, the musicians were informed, and despite the somber mood, they chose to proceed with the performance. Sting later reflected on how the tone shifted due to the day's events.

The concert was ultimately dedicated to the victims of the attacks, with a poignant message included in the album's booklet. Notably, the planned performance of "Desert Rose," featuring Cheb Mami, was canceled in light of the circumstances.

The documentary aspect of the project was directed by Jim Gable, capturing not just the concert but the emotional weight of the day. The album features a selection of Sting's most cherished songs, with a special emphasis on the lyrics of "Fragile," which are included in the booklet as a tribute to those who lost their lives.
