The Complete Album Story

"HanDover" is the eleventh studio album by Canadian band Skinny Puppy. After their 2007 album Mythmaker and its tour, the band began working on new material in 2008, focusing on noise music similar to Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music. This new album was initially intended to be "handed over" to their Hannover label for a 2009 international tour. However, complications arose when their label, SPV GmbH, faced insolvency, leaving the album's future uncertain. Despite this, the band proceeded with the tour, named In Solvent See to reflect SPV's issues. Ogre mentioned that the "handing over" of albums inspired the album's title.
