Do It Again (EP)

"Do It Again" is an extended play (EP) by Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp and Swedish singer Robyn, released on May 23, 2014. The EP coincided with their joint tour, the Röyksopp & Robyn Do It Again Tour 2014, which included performances across Europe and North America.

The collaboration began in early 2013 after Robyn felt uninspired following her Body Talk Tour. She traveled to Bergen, Norway, to work with Röyksopp, aiming to create music without a strict agenda. This led to a relaxed creative process where the trio focused on collaboration, describing it as an opportunity to make music together without the pressure of individual albums. Robyn expressed her desire to create something from scratch, resulting in a project that felt like a band effort rather than just a combination of their individual styles.

Do It Again received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its adventurous sound and production quality. It peaked at number three in Norway and number 20 in the UK, and it became the first number-one album on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart for both Röyksopp and Robyn. The EP was preceded by the singles "Do It Again" and "Sayit," with the title track achieving moderate success. The EP was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2015.

### Composition

The EP opens with "Monument," a ten-minute track inspired by the clay sculptures of Brazilian-American artist Juliana Cerqueira Leite. Its minimal instrumentation features a saxophone outro and focuses on themes of identity and death. "Sayit" is an electro-punk track characterized by a playful conversation between Robyn and a Speak & Spell toy over a techno beat, described as a homage to classic club music.

The title track, "Do It Again," is a throbbing electropop song reflecting on an on-again, off-again relationship, born from an "epic" night out in Bergen. "Every Little Thing" serves as a bittersweet electro ballad that captures conflicted emotions with layered synthesizers. The EP closes with "Inside the Idle Hour Club," an eerie ambient instrumental that features minimal vocals from Robyn and focuses on looping synths and a hypnotic beat.
