Sing When You're Winning

"Sing When You're Winning" is the third studio album by English singer-songfriend Robbie Williams. Released in August 2000 through Chrysalis Records, it marked Williams' last album under his contract with EMI United Kingdom. The album's title is a direct reference to football, specifically heralding Williams' hometown football team Stoke City.

The album offers a mix of pop, rock, and dance tones. It mainly reflects on themes of fame, the press Williams received at the time, and his intimate relationships. The collection contains 12 songs including "Rock DJ", "Kids" (a duet with Kylie Minogue), "Supreme", and "Better Man".

"Rock DJ" was the album's lead single and perhaps its most memorable track. The song earned Williams the Best British Single award at the BRIT awards in 2001. The album itself was a commercial success, reaching number one in the UK Albums Chart and selling over 2 million copies by the end of the year. It proved popular worldwide, reaching the top ten in over twenty countries.

During the creation period of the album, Williams had become a figure of intense media scrutiny and intrigue, hence much of the album explores his troubled rise to fame from boy band member, to solo star.
