The Singles 1992–2003

"The Singles 1992–2003" is a greatest hits compilation by American rock band No Doubt, released on November 14, 2003, by Interscope Records. The album serves as a retrospective of the band's career up until that point, featuring 13 singles from their three major studio albums—Tragic Kingdom (1995), Return of Saturn (2000), and Rock Steady (2001)—along with the single "Trapped in a Box" from their 1992 self-titled debut album. The album also includes a cover of Talk Talk's 1984 hit "It's My Life," which was the only new track on the compilation. This cover of "It's My Life" was released as a single and became a notable hit for the band.

Released alongside The Singles 1992–2003 was Rock Steady Live, a DVD capturing a concert from the band's Rock Steady tour in 2002. Additionally, a box set titled Boom Box was released, which included the greatest hits album, a collection of the band's music videos, and live performances, offering a comprehensive look at their career up to that point.

The album marked a significant milestone in No Doubt's career. In 2003, the band took a hiatus after the release of Rock Steady to spend time with their families and allow lead singer Gwen Stefani to focus on her solo music career. The hiatus led to Stefani's successful solo ventures, beginning with her 2004 album Love. Angel. Music. Baby., followed by The Sweet Escape (2006). The band reunited briefly in 2003 to record the new cover of "It's My Life," produced by Nellee Hooper, before they officially went on break.
