Discipline

"Discipline" is the tenth studio album by American singer Janet Jackson, released on February 26, 2008. The album marked her debut with Island Records after her departure from Virgin Records. A departure from her previous work, "Discipline" features a variety of musical styles, including pop, R&B, and electronic music, with elements of dance-pop as well.

The album received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who praised its production and Jackson's performance while noting it as a return to her dance roots. Commercially, "Discipline" debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 181,000 copies in its first week.

As part of promoting the album, Jackson embarked on the Rock Witchu Tour, her first in seven years, which further solidified the album's reach and success. Despite positive reviews and success in certain territories, the album's sales were lower than her previous releases, and it marked the end of her relationship with Island Records.
