Caught in the Act

"Caught in the Act" is the second live album by Grand Funk Railroad, released in August 1975 by Capitol Records as a double album. Recorded during their tour in 1975, the album captures Grand Funk Railroad's energetic live performances and features additional vocalists known as "The Funkettes" – Lorraine Feather and Jana Giglio.

Initially, some pressings of the album simply listed the band's name as "Grand Funk" on the front cover and spine, but retained the full name on the record labels.

In 2003, a remastered version of "Caught in the Act" was released, which condensed the album into a single disc with a total time of 79:08. To fit onto one CD, certain edits were made: the 2:47 "Introduction" was removed, while tracks like "T.N.U.C" and "Gimme Shelter" were extended. Audience interaction and applause were shortened throughout to accommodate the single disc format.

Interestingly, the "Introduction" that was omitted in the remastered version can be found as a hidden track at the end of "Some Kind of Wonderful" on the 2003 remastered version of Grand Funk Railroad's studio album "All the Girls in the World Beware!!!"
