Invisible Touch

"Invisible Touch" represents the thirteenth studio album by the English rock band Genesis, released on June 6, 1986, by Atlantic Records in the United States and on June 9, 1986, by Charisma/Virgin Records in the United Kingdom. Following a hiatus in 1984 to pursue solo endeavors, the band regrouped in October 1985 to craft and record "Invisible Touch" alongside engineer and producer Hugh Padgham. Composed entirely through group improvisations, the album diverged from preconceived material.

A global sensation, "Invisible Touch" soared to No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 3 on the US Billboard 200, becoming Genesis's best-selling album, certified multi-platinum in both the UK (with over 1.2 million copies sold) and the US (with 6 million copies sold). The band achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first foreign act to secure five singles from one album in the top five of the US Billboard Hot 100, with "Invisible Touch" clinching the No. 1 spot.
