Rumours

Released in February 1977, "Rumours" is the 11th studio album by the British-American rock band, Fleetwood Mac. Embodying a commercial sound far removed from their blues roots, the album reached blockbuster status and is one of the best selling albums of all time. It features hits such as "Go Your Own Way", "Dreams", "Don't Stop", and "You Make Loving Fun".

The recording of the album took place during a tumultuous time for the band members. The band consisted of couples - Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, and John and Christine McVie, all of whom were going through separations. Furthermore, Mick Fleetwood was dealing with his own domestic issues. The emotional turmoil fuelled the lyrical content of the album, giving it its distinct raw and passionate feel, and the album's title "Rumours" was a reflection of the turmoil within the band, as they often sang about each other's affairs and relationships.

The album was critically acclaimed, winning the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1978. Its lasting impact on pop culture is immense, and it is often cited as one of the greatest albums of all time.
