Made in Europe

"Made in Europe" is a live album by Deep Purple, released in November 1976. It captures performances from the band's final concerts in April 1975, shortly before Ritchie Blackmore's departure. This album is their third live release, intended to replicate the success of the iconic Made in Japan from 1972, though it did not achieve the same commercial success.

The album features recordings from concerts held on April 4 in Graz, Austria; April 5 in Saarbrücken, Germany; and April 7 at Palais des Sports in Paris, France, all captured using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio. Much of the material comes primarily from the Saarbrücken show, as noted in the liner notes for Mk III: The Final Concerts. The album underwent significant studio editing, including the addition of crowd noise and applause, with a tape loop of applause being evident during the final performance of "Stormbringer."

The songs included in the album are drawn from Deep Purple's Burn and Stormbringer albums. In 1990, Made in Europe was remastered and re-released in the US by Metal Blade Records, distributed by Warner Bros. After being out of print in the US, it was re-released by Friday Music on July 31, 2007. Although the label claimed the album was digitally remastered, it remains unclear which source tapes were used.

The full concerts from Graz and Paris have been released by Deep Purple (Overseas) Limited and Ear Music, although the drum solo from the Graz concert is notably missing. In 2014, a "super deluxe" box set was announced, promising to include the entire Saarbrücken show and a new documentary on MK 3, but as of July 2023, there have been no updates on its release.
