Life

"Life" is the sixth studio album by British band Culture Club, credited to "Boy George and Culture Club," released on October 26, 2018, through BMG. It marks the band's first studio album since 1999's Don't Mind If I Do.

After reforming in 2014, the album was initially conceived as Tribes, a project offered through PledgeMusic, intended for release in 2015 or early 2016 under their own label, Different Man Music. Recorded in Spain, it was accompanied by a documentary titled From Karma to Calamity, which aired on BBC Four. However, the album was shelved, and pre-order customers were refunded.

In July 2018, it was announced that the project had been reworked into Life, set for release on October 26, 2018. Boy George reflected on the transformation from Tribes to Life, expressing satisfaction with the band's improved dynamics and creative communication during the reworking process. He noted that he allowed more input from others, which was a departure from his usual approach of being protective over lyrics and melodies.

Before the album's release, "Let Somebody Love You" was issued as a digital single. The title track served as the lead single, followed by a limited edition version of "Runaway Train," which was re-recorded as a duet with Gladys Knight and released for Record Store Day 2019.
