Neighborhoods

"Neighborhoods" is the sixth studio album by American rock band Blink-182, released on September 27, 2011, through DGC Records and Interscope Records. This album marked the band's reunion after a four-year hiatus, and is their first album of new material since their 2003 self-titled album. The recording of "Neighborhoods" was hindered many times due to the band's members involvement in other projects and touring commitments.

The genesis of the album "Neighborhoods" comes after Blink-182 band members Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker took a lengthy break from the band following creative tensions while completing their 2003 self-titled album. Following a traumatic plane crash involving Barker in 2008, the trio reunited and began working on the new album the next year.

The album "Neighborhoods" is noted for its departure from the pop punk sound that the band was known for, and instead features a more mature, alternative rock and arena rock sound. The band experimented with different recording techniques and explored darker lyrical content, often drawing inspiration from their personal lives.

The album was met with mixed-to-positive reviews from music critics. Many of them lauded the band's growth and maturity, but some criticized it as forced and lacking in grandeur. Despite the mixed critical reception, the album was commercially successful, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, and spawning three singles – "Up All Night," "After Midnight," and "Heart’s All Gone."

The album led to the subsequent tours for the promotion including the "10th Annual Honda Civic Tour" where they were co-headliners with My Chemical Romance.
