California

California is the seventh studio album by American rock band Blink-182. The album was released on July 1, 2016, and marked a significant shift in the band's lineup, as it was their first album released after long-time guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge departed from the group in 2015. His replacement, Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio, joined Blink-182 as lead vocalist and guitarist for the production of California.

Key production figures in the making of the album included producer John Feldmann, a long-time collaborator of the band. A significant part of the album was written and recorded during intense two-week sessions.

In terms of content, it sets a departure from the band's previous effort, with a more mature and reflective sound. It deals with themes such as love, nostalgia, and the state of the world.
