Not Fragile

"Not Fragile" is the third studio album by the Canadian rock band Bachman–Turner Overdrive (BTO). Released in 1974, it marked a significant turning point in the band's career, as it catapulted them to fame with its commercial success.

The album's name, "Not Fragile," was intended as a playful response to the album "Fragile" by Yes. It captured the band's hard-edged rock sound coupled with vocal harmonies, making it distinctively different from progressive rock, which was popular at the time.

Notably, "Not Fragile" includes some of Bachman–Turner Overdrive's most recognized hits. The track, "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet," became their most famous tune, reaching number 1 charts in both Canada and the U.S., making it one of the top songs of 1974. Other popular tracks include the title song "Not Fragile" and "Roll on Down the Highway."

The lineup for the album included Randy Bachman on lead guitar and vocals, Robbie Bachman on drums, C.F Turner on bass and vocals and Blair Thornton on second lead guitar, harmonica, and background vocals.

The album's sound, heavily influenced by the harder edge of blues rock and straightforward rock-and-roll, showcased the band's skill for combining catchy hooks, heavy guitar riffs and a strong rhythm section, establishing BTO's place in the world of 70s rock music.
