Lioness: Hidden Treasures

"Lioness: Hidden Treasures" is a posthumous compilation album by English singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse, released on 2 December 2011 by Island Records. The album is a collection of 12 tracks, half of which were previously unreleased, that were chosen by producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, who had worked closely with Winehouse throughout her career.

This album includes tracks Winehouse recorded in the years before her breakthrough with the album "Frank" (2003), during the time of her award-winning album "Back to Black" (2006), and some tracks were recorded shortly before her untimely death in July 2011.

Among the album's many notable tracks is "Body and Soul," a duet with Tony Bennett which was to be her final recording, and "A Song for You," a heartfelt cover of the Leon Russell song, which the album's liner notes reveal moved Winehouse to tears during the recording for its strong resonance with her personal life and struggles.

Upon its release, the album received mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the exceptional quality of Winehouse's raw, emotive vocals, while others felt the posthumous release was exploitative. Commercially, the album was successful, opening at number one on the UK Albums Chart and becoming the UK's fourth best selling album of 2011. All the proceeds from the album went to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, an organization established by the singer's family to support young people struggling with drug and alcohol misuse.
