Wonderful

"Wonderful" is the fifth solo studio album by English musician Adam Ant, released in March 1995 by EMI. Serving as his eighth LP overall, the album peaked at number 24 on the UK Album Chart and number 143 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The band for this album included Ant's long-time collaborator Marco Pirroni, along with ex-Ruts drummer Dave Ruffy and Morrissey's guitarist Boz Boorer.

This album marked a departure from Ant's earlier sound, featuring more acoustic songs than his previous albums. It showcased Adam Ant as a more mature pop-rocker, with crafted songs that prominently featured acoustic guitars alongside electric ones. Despite its departure from his earlier work, the album was a moderate success in both the US and UK.

The title track, "Wonderful," became Ant's third US Top 40 hit single. Notably, this was the first Adam Ant album to be released in the US before the UK. Initially known as "Slapdash Eden," the album saw 25 tracks being written for the project, with eleven making it to the final product. The Japanese release of the album included a mini-poster, and promotional cards were also released, each relating to one of the album's tracks and offering insights into Ant's real meanings behind the lyrics.
