Slide It In

"Slide It In" is the sixth studio album by British rock band Whitesnake, released in 1984. It was the first Whitesnake album to be released by Geffen Records in the United States. The album was a huge success in the UK, peaking at No. 9 and was also the band's breakthrough in the US.

Slide It In features hit singles such as "Love Ain't No Stranger," "Slow an' Easy," and "Guilty of Love." The album marked Whitesnake's shift from the blues-rock of their early years to a more streamlined, hard rock sound.

This was also the last album by Whitesnake to feature long-time keyboard player Jon Lord, who had been with the band since its formation. The album saw several line-up changes in the band, with Micky Moody leaving during the album's sessions and former Thin Lizzy guitarist John Sykes being brought in.

This album comes in two versions – the UK version, which is recognized for its harder, more rock-oriented sound, and the US version, which is polished to appeal to the American market with a more radio-friendly sound.
