Something/Anything?

"Something/Anything?" is a double album by American musician Todd Rundgren, released in February 1972. It was Rundgren's third solo release, following "The Ballad of Todd Rundgren". Showcasing his versatile exceptional musical abilities, the album features a range of styles incorporating pop, piano ballads and hard rock.

What sets it apart is that the entirety of its first three sides were performed solely by Rundgren himself, who played all the instruments, wrote, and sang all the parts. The fourth side, titled 'Baby Needs a New Pair of Snakeskin Boots: A Pop Operetta', was recorded with a variety of session musicians.

"Something/Anything?" incorporates the hit singles "Hello It's Me" and "I Saw the Light", both of which remain among Rundgren's best-known songs. The album is also noted for its liner notes, in which Rundgren offers a tongue-in-cheek guide to listeners who might also be inspired to record their own music.
