Interior Design

"Interior Design" is the fifteenth studio album by the American rock band Sparks, released in August 1988. The album was released by Fine Art Records. It marks another chapter in the band's eclectic career, showcasing their continued experimentation with different musical styles. Interior Design followed their previous release, Music That You Can Dance To 1986, and continued to explore new sounds and production techniques. The album, like many of Sparks' releases, contributed to their reputation for innovation and creativity in the rock and pop genres.

Interior Design did not significantly impact the commercial fortunes of Sparks, failing to appear on the album charts in either the US or the UK. However, the singles from the album achieved some success on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. So Important reached No. 8, and Just Got Back from Heaven" reached No. 7. Additionally, Just Got Back from Heaven also appeared on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart, peaking at No. 24. Despite the album's lackluster performance on mainstream charts, the singles helped maintain Sparks' presence in the dance music scene.
