The 1st Album

"The 1st Album" is the debut album by German duo Modern Talking, released on April 1, 1985 by the record label Hansa. The album includes the breakthrough singles "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" and "You Can Win If You Want", which are considered iconic songs of Euro disco. Both tracks topped the singles charts in Germany and many other countries.

Modern Talking, consisting of singer Thomas Anders and producer/composer Dieter Bohlen, burst onto the international music scene with "The 1st Album". The album was emblematic of their signature sound, a synthesis of catchy melodic hooks, high energy Euro disco beats, and lush, high production values.

"The 1st Album" peaked at No. 1 on the German album chart, and also managed to chart in many other countries, setting Modern Talking on a successful journey with hit after hit in the following years. It was presented in two different formats, standard and a limited edition white vinyl for collectors.
