"Alternative Light Source" is the third studio album by the British electronic group Leftfield, released on June 8, 2015. This album marked a significant return for Leftfield, as it was their first release after a 16-year hiatus since the 1999 album "Rhythm and Stealth."

Leftfield was originally formed by Neil Barnes and Paul Daley in the late 1980s and had been influential in the electronic and dance music scenes. However, for "Alternative Light Source," Neil Barnes took the lead, as Paul Daley was not involved with this project.

The album features a mix of electronic and house music elements, showcasing Leftfield's characteristic sound while also introducing fresh influences. It includes collaborations with several artists, such as the British singer Sleaford Mods, who contributed to the track "Head and Shoulders," and Poliça's Channy Leaneagh, who lent her vocals to the song "Bilocation."
