Golden Greats

"Golden Greats" is the second solo album by Ian Brown, who gained fame as the frontman of the Stone Roses. The album was praised by NME, which described it as "a left-field masterpiece and Brown's best work for a decade." Golden Greats features a wide range of instruments, including strings, mellotron, and organs, showcasing Brown's musical diversity. Several tracks were written by Brown while he was imprisoned for two months following an altercation with a flight attendant.

One of the notable tracks, "Babasónicos," is named after the Argentine band Babasónicos, who collaborated with Brown on the song.
