The "Despicable Me 2: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" is the soundtrack album for the 2013 film "Despicable Me 2," sequel to the 2010 hit "Despicable Me." Released on July 2, 2013, through Back Lot Music, the album features original music composed by Heitor Pereira and Pharrell Williams, who also worked on the first film's soundtrack. It includes 24 tracks, consisting of eight songs and the remaining original score tracks. Williams contributed three original tracks to the album and incorporated popular songs like "Another Irish Drinking Song," "I Swear," and "Y.M.C.A." Two tracks from the original "Despicable Me" soundtrack, "Fun, Fun, Fun" and the titular track, are also included.

The standout single "Happy," released on November 21, 2013, became a global phenomenon. Featured on Williams' album "Girl" (2014), "Happy" topped charts in over 19 countries and was the best-selling song of 2014 in both the US and UK. The song's 24-hour music video, directed by We Are from LA, became a viral sensation. "Happy" was nominated for Best Original Song at the 86th Academy Awards but lost to "Let It Go" from "Frozen." In March 2022, another track from the soundtrack, "Just a Cloud Away," was released, further extending the album's enduring impact.
