The River in Reverse

"The River in Reverse" is a collaborative studio album by Elvis Costello and the American musician Allen Toussaint, released in 2006. The album emerged as a response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, particularly upon the city of New Orleans, where Toussaint hails from.

Elvis Costello and Allen Toussaint had previously worked together and shared a mutual admiration for each other's work.
