Trans-Love Energies

"Trans-Love Energies" refers to the sixth studio album by the British electronic music band, Death In Vegas. The album was released on the 26th of September in 2011. Conceptually, the album was written and recorded in a period where the band's frontman, Richard Fearless, lived in seclusion in New York. This seclusion was aimed at rediscovering his focus on writing and making music. As such, the album adopts an introspective and minimalistic approach reflected in its acoustic and electronic soundscapes.

"Trans-Love Energies" is considered a significant departure from the band's prior gritty electronic sound, with a renewed focus on synth-pop and post-punk influenced beats. The album is punctuated with moments of deep electronic beats, set amid a spacious ambient undertow, creating a contrast between noise and tranquility throughout its runtime. The title of the album is a tribute to the radical American poet and activist John Sinclair, referring to his 1960s counter-culture commune based in Detroit named "Trans-Love Energies".
