Doppelgänger

"Doppelgänger" is an album by the English alternative rock band, Curve. Released on 9 March 1992, it is the band's debut studio album. The record was produced by the band themselves in collaboration with notable producers such as Flood, and it encompasses a range of music genres including alternative rock, dream pop, and shoegazing.

The album was incredibly well-received upon its release with critics praising the distinct sound, combining elements of dance music with noisy jagged guitars, and Toni Halliday's powerful vocals. One of the album’s popular singles, 'Horror Head', emerged as an iconic track.

"Doppelgänger", despite receiving positive reception from music critics, did not achieve widespread mainstream success. Yet, it was significant in defining the band's unique sound and cementing their place in the UK's alternative rock scene during the early nineties.

Members of Curve are Toni Halliday (vocals, occasionally guitar) and Dean Garcia (bass, guitar, drums). Both of them are the principal songwriters. Toni Halliday is also known for her collaboration with other artists and for her solo work. Dean Garcia, on the other hand, had played in many bands before forming Curve with Halliday.
