Time Remembered

"Time Remembered" is a posthumous album featuring the music of renowned jazz pianist Bill Evans. This album showcases a series of recorded sessions from 1962 and 1963, which were not released until 1983. The Body & Soul music label under the production of Orrin Keepnews made the album's release possible.

The album constitutes quintessential pieces of Evans' early work, demonstrating the pianist's distinctive approach to jazz interpretation. The pieces were recorded after the 1961 death of his bassist, Scott LaFaro, which occurred ten days after the trio’s renowned performance at the Village Vanguard.

In this album, Evans collaborates with other substantial jazz figures: Chuck Israels on bass, Paul Motian and Larry Bunker on drums. Notable compositions in the album include "Time Remembered", "In Your Own Sweet Way' and "Danny Boy". Furthermore, the album includes very memorable performances including a rare solo version of “In Your Own Sweet Way”.
