"The Mirror" is an album by the British rock band Spooky Tooth, released in October 1974. It is notable as the only Spooky Tooth album released without contributions from Mike Harrison, marking a departure from their previous sound. This album also marked a significant hiatus for the band, as they disbanded permanently just one month after its release.
Following the dissolution of Spooky Tooth, former members went on to join other notable bands. For instance, Gary Wright became a founding member of Foreigner, while Greg Ridley and Mike Kellie joined The Only Ones. Spooky Tooth remained inactive for nearly twenty-five years until they reunited and released the album "Cross Purpose" in 1999.
"The Mirror" itself reflects a departure from Spooky Tooth's earlier blues-rock style, incorporating more progressive and experimental elements. Despite the band's short-lived existence after its release, the album remains a piece of their legacy, showcasing their evolving musical direction during the early 1970s.
