Grateful Dead

"Aoxomoxoa" is the third studio album by the Grateful Dead, released in 1969. Notably, it was one of the first rock albums recorded using 16-track technology, allowing for greater complexity and experimentation in the recording process. The album's title is a meaningless palindrome and is usually pronounced /ɒksə.məksˈoʊə/. Upon its release, "Aoxomoxoa" received positive reviews, with Rolling Stone highlighting its unique and delicate musical style. The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on May 13, 1997. In addition to its musical achievements, "Aoxomoxoa" was recognized for its iconic cover art, which Rolling Stone ranked as the eighth best album cover of all time in 1991. The album was also voted number 674 in the third edition of Colin Larkin's All Time Top 1000 Albums in 2000.
