War

"Why Can't We Be Friends?" is the seventh studio album by War, released on June 16, 1975, under United Artists Records. It features two notable singles: the title track, paired with "In Mazatlan," and "Low Rider," paired with "So." Both A-sides earned nominations for the Grammy Awards of 1976. One interesting aspect of this album is that an interpolation of the first part of the song "Smile Happy" was used in Shaggy's song "It Wasn't Me," featuring RikRok. Additionally, versions of the album's titular song have been prominently featured in several film productions, including "Bridge to Terabithia" and "Wild Things."
