"Equator" is the sixteenth studio album by the English rock band Uriah Heep, released in 1985. This album marked the return of bassist Trevor Bolder, who rejoined the band for the Head First tour. Released under Portrait Records, a subsidiary of CBS, *Equator* was the last Uriah Heep album featuring vocalist Peter Goalby and keyboardist John Sinclair.
The accompanying tour program represented the band's final UK tour until the Wake the Sleeper tour in 2008. Initially, the album was not included in the early 1990s CD reissues of the Heep back catalog due to high licensing costs from Sony/CBS. However, it was finally released on CD in 1999 without any bonus tracks.
In 2010, in celebration of its 25th anniversary, *Equator* was reissued in an expanded and remastered format, concluding Sanctuary's remaster series. After this album, Uriah Heep took a hiatus from studio recordings, with their next album not appearing until 1989.
