Uriah Heep

"Outsider" is the 24th studio album released by the British rock band Uriah Heep. The album was first launched on June 6, 2014. Despite the challenges they faced, including the death of their former drummer Lee Kerslake, the band managed to create an album that scored high reviews from critics for its tight, energetic, and spirited approach. The album contains 11 tracks, including some of the band's high-powered and driven numbers such as "Speed of Sound," "One Minute," "The Law" and more subdued and introspective tracks like "The Outsider" and "Is Anybody Gonna Help Me?" The album showcases the unique blend of heavy metal and progressive rock for which Uriah Heep is renowned. Comprising of Mick Box, Phil Lanzon, Bernie Shaw, Russell Gilbrook, and Davey Rimmer, who was a new entry into the band replacing the long-term bassist Trevor Bolder, the album Outsider is generally considered as a symbolic return to the band's classic hard-rock sound, while also incorporating elements of modern rock. The album was well-received by fans and critics alike. It charted in several countries, including Germany and the UK, solidifying Uriah Heep's reputation as one of the enduring bands of the classic rock era.
