"With Friends from the Orchestra" is an album by the English progressive rock band Marillion, released on November 29, 2019, through earMUSIC and Intact Records. The album features orchestral re-recordings of songs from the band's extensive catalog, spanning from Seasons End (1989) to Sounds That Can't Be Made (2012). The recording sessions took place at the band's own studio, the Racket Club, as well as at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios.
The orchestral arrangements were provided by the In Praise of Folly String Quartet, with string arrangements composed by Michael Hunter, who also co-produced the album alongside the band. This release marks Marillion's second album of re-recordings, following Less Is More from 2009. The album revisits some of the band's most beloved songs, giving them a fresh, symphonic twist while maintaining the original spirit and emotional depth of the tracks.
