The Jackson 5

"Jackson 5 Christmas Album" is the first Christmas album and fourth studio album by the Jackson 5, released on October 15, 1970. Featuring their rendition of the classic "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," the album became a holiday staple, with tracks like "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" receiving frequent radio play during the Christmas season. The album dominated Billboard's special Christmas Albums chart for four weeks in December 1970, making it the best-selling Christmas album of that year and again in 1972. Although it had strong potential to chart on the US Billboard Top LPs, holiday albums were not eligible during that period. Critically acclaimed, the album has sold over 3 million copies worldwide. It was first released on CD in 1986 and later re-released in 2003 as part of the 20th Century Masters - The Christmas Collection, featuring the bonus track "Little Christmas Tree," a Michael Jackson solo song. In 2009, it was reissued again as the Ultimate Christmas Collection, which included remixes and greetings from band members. The release followed a particularly busy year for the group, with three other albums and an extensive tour, showcasing their prolific output during this era.
