"Inamorata" is a studio album by the American country rock band Poco, released in 1984. This album marked somewhat of a reunion for the band, with former members Timothy B. Schmit, Richie Furay, and George Grantham all contributing to the record. It was their 13th studio album and was produced by the band itself along with Mark Henry Harman.
While Poco's lineup had changed significantly throughout its history, "Inamorata" was a unique project for bringing together different generations of the band. However, core members Paul Cotton and Rusty Young still remained central figures, taking charge of the songwriting and vocals.
The album spans various musical styles, displaying a blend of country rock, pop, and folk influences. Some of its notable songs include "Days Gone By," "Gravity," and "Inamorata," which all highlight the band's signature harmonies and intricate musicianship. Despite its many moments of brilliance, the album did not achieve substantial commercial success upon release. Yet, it's often acknowledged by fans for capturing the classic Poco sound and is reflective of the band's enduring musical legacy in the country-rock genre.
